[CONTEST ALERT!!!] Frannywanny's Christmas Cheer with King Sue Ham

Ho Ho Ho!!!

I woke up this morning and was in shock that it's already the 10th of December! That just means, Christmas is 15 days away! Well, a look at the streets will surely show you signs that the holiday rush is here. It has been traffic everywhere and in the malls, you'll feel the busy air brought about by shoppers quickly completing their lists. Paul and I have yet to deliver our gifts as our schedule was pushed back by this nasty flu that's forcing me to stay at home right now. Boo :(

Anyway, there's no stopping me in bringing some Holiday cheer to all of you. I'm ready to announce the three lucky winners who will be receiving their very own Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Giving Journal hopefully within the week! Before that though, I'd like to thank all 72 of you who joined this contest! *hugs for everyone!*

Here they are!

This weekend, Mom has been bugging Pan and I to think of a good restaurant for our Christmas eve dinner with the family. While it may be easy to just go with the usual Chinese restaurants that we have been dining in for the past years, the challenge we have this year is to think of a non-Chinese restaurant that would get the approval of all. We're a family of 18 so just imagine how hard that can be. We have to consider the space, the availability of a private room (as you know how noisy a big group can get), a big table ideally round to make it easy to pass the food around, the location, a place that offers reasonably priced dishes with top quality food and the list goes on and on. Any suggestions?

To be honest, I'm tempted to tell Mommy to propose a potluck party instead. This way we can bring in our favorite seafood dishes, maybe someone can bring in a lechon, have Kongkong's mouthwatering Pata Tim and eat to our heart's delight. I guess though everyone's tired and would prefer that we just order and eat without the hassle of slaving away in the kitchen.

Anyway, there's always Noche Buena, that meal that I've learned to look forward to after hearing mass on the 24th. This year, Paul and I are celebrating Christmas Eve with my family and after mass, we're heading to my in laws to stay the night and to celebrate Noche Buena. Just like most Filipinos, I always look forward to the feast that my mommy-in-law and manang would prepare. There's sweet ham, fruits and a lot more other goodies. That makes it extra special is being able to bond with my 2nd family whom I love dearly.
