Do you remember this totally adorable 7-second line?


Indeed, the world went crazy over little Agnes of Despicable Me and her cute ways that this winning one-liner totally stayed on longer than the movie itself. Case in point, I suddenly had this line in mind the moment Paul and I walk into Fluffy Dessert in Tanjong Pagar Road.

Fluffy Dessert specializes in Taiwanese ice desserts and it was just perfect timing for Paul and I to chance upon this little store as we were walking around the area in search for a place to have dessert one evening. I always give great importance to first impressions and I immediately liked what I saw.

The store has this cute quirky feel that makes every corner so Instagram worthy! You don't believe me? Check this wall out which I couldn't help but snap a photo of despite having two ladies busy eating their desserts beside it. Luckily, they moved a bit to let me take a full shot. :)

Paul and I had two mini shaved ice desserts to share. First was the Berrylove (S$5/S$6.50) which is shaved ice served with fresh strawberries, lychee boba and strawberry drizzle. I love love love the lychee boba (popping sago) that blended so well with the sweet strawberry flavor. The ice was so smooth and silky that it made me imagine eating snow. *insert: It's so fluffy I'm gonna dieeee*

We also tried the Milo Dinosaur (S$5/S$7) which is a shaved ice version of Paul's favorite Singaporean drink. You can really taste the strong chocolate malt flavor sprinkled with Milo nuggets, Koko Krunch and more Milo powder! It was okay for me as I'm not crazy about chocolate or Milo but my choco-loving hubby loved it.

We're so happy to have discovered Fluffy Dessert! Browsing through their menu, they have a lot more dessert creations that one can try. The best part is it's part of The Entertainer App which means I get 1-for-1 deals for certain items on the menu! Not bad at all.

Bag of Beans (Charito) in Tagaytay

I can't believe that we have been frequenting Tagaytay for more than a decade now and not once have I written about Bag of Beans ! I tried searching all over this blog and I found..nothing. To think that not a single trip to Tagaytay, back then, would ever be complete without stopping by Bag of Beans for lunch or merienda. I must have been to engrossed with their coffee and bread that I wasn't able to take photos of the place and their food thus no blog entry. They, after all, have one of the best brewed coffee in Tagaytay and the yummiest bread to go with it too. Bag of Beans has been an institution in Tagaytay. Just like us, other tourists and visitors would make sure to drop by in order to grab a bite or to take home some of their homemade goodies every time they find themselves in Tagaytay. Misto at Seda Vertis North

Happy Friday!  I'm not going to lie, Friday is one of my favorite days because it means, we're just a day away from the weekend! Who doesn't love the weekend, right? This is the day when I give my twins my uninterrupted attention. We would start the day with any breakfast of their choice (normally waffles for J, pancakes or peanut butter sandwich for L) followed by an hour of doing their homework and in the afternoon, we head out for their swim class! Sunday is more laid back as we would stay home and just laze around the house otherwise, we would go and visit my in laws and spend the day there.  Speaking of the weekend, I suddenly remembered one of the best weekends that we've had this year so far. This was when we had our staycation at Seda Vertis North  and the twins truly enjoyed every minute of it.
