Pastry Princess at the Greenhills Town Center

"What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And everything nice..."

After our filling dinner at Sumo Sam, Paul and I decided to walk around the Greenhills Town Center to check the other establishments out. As we reached the back portion where Ha Yuan, a kebab place and an Asian mart are located, we also found Pastry Princess. I couldn't help but enter this cozy looking cafe that has a pretty baby pink interior.

Oh how I drooled as I look at the glass case filled with all sorts of yummy looking cupcakes! Suddenly, I wanted to have a cupcake for dessert! (Who said I was full from our Sumo Sam dinner? Not quite!)

The store is small but with free WiFi, this makes a great place to work or to hang out while enjoying a cupcake or two! In fact, we saw a mother-son tandem enjoying their chosen cupcakes that evening. The son was happily playing while the mom was busy with her laptop. They also serve coffee, tea and some fruit juices too!

Check out the pink poster on the wall.
Definitely my life mantra!

Well, I couldn't stop at choosing just one cupcake so I decided to get a dozen to share with my family and in laws too! I love how the staff of Pastry Princess willingly split my cupcakes equally into the two boxes.

My top choice was the Red Velvet Cupcake (Php. 60) that reminds me of that delicious slice of Red Velvet Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. Believe me, after that night, I've turned into a Red Velvet fan since then.  I enjoyed the moist red chocolate cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting. Sadly, I can't take too much frosting but the cupcake itself was yummeeeh.

I also got the Cookie Dough (Php. 60), Nutella (Php. 70), Salted Caramel (Php. 50), Peanut Butter Delight (Php. 60) and a special flavor called Chocnut.

Upon arriving at my in law's house, I happily brought the box up to my niece J who excitedly opened the box and like a lightning bolt her fingers zoomed into the sweet cupcake frostings so fast. She licked her fingers and exclaimed "mmm yummy!" The Pastry Princess surely won little J's heart. She wanted more but not wanting to overload her with sugar at such a late hour at night, we had to put the box away and told her to wait for the next day.

I had more cupcakes the next day and was surprised how it continues to stay moist even without re-heating. We got to try the Peanut Butter cupcake which reminds me of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! I prefer the Red Velvet though as this was one a tad too sweet for my taste.

I'm so happy to have found a good cupcake place so close to home. I am definitely going back for another piece of cupcake to go with my cup of Mocha Latte.

Pastry Princess is located at the Greenhills Town Center, 2 Granada Street, Quezon City. Call them at 399-4986.
