Krazy Garlik in Greenbelt 5

It has been almost 10 months since Krazy Garlik opened its doors to the public. Since then, it has teased the palates of hundreds of garlic lovers in this side of town. Who would have thought that they can add garlic in practically any dish ... yes, even in sweet desserts.

My first visit was pretty memorable. I enjoyed the Hara-Kiri, the Snowflakes Pizza and the Garlicky Crispy Pata. Most of all, I will never forget the special Crema Catalana that had candied garlic cloves on top. It was THE BEST.

Due to its location, I rarely get to visit Krazy Garlik even if it has been on my list to dine in again. I'm glad that I had that chance to go back with fellow bloggers one weeknight and Paul was also able to join me on my return. Hooray!

I love the happy, crazy vibe of Krazy Garlik. As you enter the restaurant, you'll see a bright colorful mural of Alice in GARLICland. Walk towards the washroom and let the characters of the story direct you to the right cubicle.

We had a feast and believe me, it truly was a FEAST. The food just kept on coming as we tried one garlic-filled dish after the other. Let me share with you the 12 amazing dishes that you should try at Krazy Garlik:

Garlic and Anchovy Affection (Php. 195)
The presentation was slightly different from how I remembered it used to look before. I remember that it used to look like escargots but now, it was served on a big platter like canapes.

Baba Ghanoush (Php. 255)
My sister couldn't stop raving about the Baba Ghanoush that she had during her trip to Egypt. Thus, I have always been on a look out for good versions here in Manila. I was only able to try a bit since I was busy with the salad and other appetizers but this one was really good and flavorful. Be sure to ask for more pita bread! It's very fragrant which I guess can be attributed to the garlic chips served with this dip.

krazy garlik

Spinach and Cream Cheese (Php. 225)
This one is the most common dish on the table. It's a triangular pocket filled with spinach and cream cheese.

Amazing Krazy Garlik Salad (Php. 275 / Php. 475)
They got it right here! The salad was truly ah-may-zingggg!! The mix of veggies made the salad very refreshing and the crunchy tortillas wrapper gave it the right touch. It reminded me of Paul's favorite Oriental Salad minus the chicken strips and fried noodles on top. It had the right amount of salty and sweet making you want more.

krazy garlik

Garlic Snowflakes Pizza (Php. 495)
Still a favorite, I love how light the toppings were and the garlic chips were not too overpowering allowing you to enjoy the full flavor fo the pizza. A must-try!

krazy garlik

Hara-Kiri (Php. 225 / Php. 365)
My numero uno favorite! It's funny that I have the lowest tolerance for spicy food but this one I love the most. I feel that no trip to Krazy Garlik is complete without having the Hara-Kiri. I love garlic chips and enjoyed munching on the crunchy bits as I take one spoonful of rice after the other.

krazy garlik

Chinese Style Fried Rice (Php. 210 / Php. 365)
For the non-spicy diners, they also have the Chinese-Style Fried Rice. Initially, I was expecting for it to taste like the regular Yang Chow Fried Rice that we normally have during lauriats but Krazy Garlik have managed to give it a twist with shrimps, spring onions and Chinese sausage. Yum!

krazy garlik

Garlicky Crispy Pata (Php. 695)
Then came the crowd's favorite. Who can ever say no to meaty pork leg deep fried and sprinkled with lots of garlic. I loved it the first time and I enjoy it even more on my return. I will continue to order this on my future visits.

krazy garlik

Oxtail & Chorizo Stew (Php. 650)
Craving for some Spanish treat? Try the Oxtail and Chorizo Stew which goes well even with plain rice. The sauce is quite rich although I find the oxtail a bit too fatty to my liking. This was well-appreciated by my dinner mates.

Fettucine Oriente (Php. 450)
My new found favorite! I can't stop getting more and more pasta as I love the flavorful mix of seafood with Chinese veggies. It has a creamy Oriental sauce that I simply love.

See, I told you we really had a FEAST....and Krazy Garlik didn't stop there. Out came our desserts Crema Catalana (Php. 195) which is their take on the Creme Brulee with candy garlic cloves on top. We also was able to try the Apple Tart ala Mode (Php. 225) that I find a bit too sour for my taste.

I could hardly take in another bite after our meal and I was even bold enough to say that I am skipping breakfast and lunch the next day (as if, Franny!). I love how well the garlic was infused into the dish without leaving us with a nasty breath. We had a great time at Krazy Garlik as we all enjoyed the food and allowed ourselves to get crazy even once in a while.
