Love Food. Love Mega: Awaiting the SM Megamall Food Sale!

It’s BACKKKKKKK!!

A year ago, my food-loving colleague excitedly told me about SM Megamall having a 3-day Food Sale. Imagine having at least a hundred food establishments offering discounts, free dishes and a lot more! It truly felt like a food lover’s holiday! I wasn’t sure what happened last year but sadly, I missed the fun weekend.



Well, I’m not going to let that happen again this year. In fact, as early as last weekend, Paul and I headed to SM Megamall to check out the participating establishments already and took mental notes on which ones we will definitely visit this coming weekend. We mean business which means, we need a surefire strategy. This is WAR! Food War! :)

We started at our favorite place in SM Megamall – The Atrium where almost all restaurants will participate in this fun 3-day fiesta! Let me share with you some of the freebies and discounts that await all diners this coming weekend:

My favorite Katsu place Yabu will be giving away a free appetizer or dessert for a minimum purchase of Php. 500. I am definitely visiting them this coming weekend!

Italiano Gotti’s Ristorante will offer a 50% discount on all pizza items! This is actually perfect for big groups as they can have an all-out pizza party!

In addition to these, I also spotted the Mega Food Sale poster on the following establishments at The Atrium: The Kebab Factory, MESA, Chefs’ Quarter, Tong Yang, The Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak and a lot more!

After dining at Yabu, Paul and I plan to head to Dulcinea who will be having a Churros All You Can from 2PM to 5PM! Ohhh chocolate-y goodness!! I’ll definitely be there!

Lastly, we will cap off our weekend date at The White Hat where they will offer a free waffle for 4 cups of yogurt!

There are a lot of food establishments in SM Megamall and this is definitely a perfect time to resto-hop as you can try their specialties for half the price or with an additional treat to go with your meal! If you ask me, I’d say this is a great deal!

Bag of Beans (Charito) in Tagaytay

I can't believe that we have been frequenting Tagaytay for more than a decade now and not once have I written about Bag of Beans ! I tried searching all over this blog and I found..nothing. To think that not a single trip to Tagaytay, back then, would ever be complete without stopping by Bag of Beans for lunch or merienda. I must have been to engrossed with their coffee and bread that I wasn't able to take photos of the place and their food thus no blog entry. They, after all, have one of the best brewed coffee in Tagaytay and the yummiest bread to go with it too. Bag of Beans has been an institution in Tagaytay. Just like us, other tourists and visitors would make sure to drop by in order to grab a bite or to take home some of their homemade goodies every time they find themselves in Tagaytay. Misto at Seda Vertis North

Happy Friday!  I'm not going to lie, Friday is one of my favorite days because it means, we're just a day away from the weekend! Who doesn't love the weekend, right? This is the day when I give my twins my uninterrupted attention. We would start the day with any breakfast of their choice (normally waffles for J, pancakes or peanut butter sandwich for L) followed by an hour of doing their homework and in the afternoon, we head out for their swim class! Sunday is more laid back as we would stay home and just laze around the house otherwise, we would go and visit my in laws and spend the day there.  Speaking of the weekend, I suddenly remembered one of the best weekends that we've had this year so far. This was when we had our staycation at Seda Vertis North  and the twins truly enjoyed every minute of it. Of course, they love our comfy and very spacious Corner Suite with an adjacent Deluxe Room as well as checking out the hotel's amenities and the Vertis North mall
