This is a story of a cake that has launched a thousand..messages. *bow* Okay, maybe a thousand might be too much but anyway... It all began when my friend Sten shared her newest sweet discovery of a mouthwatering Ube Leche Flan cake that got all of us here in the Lion City intrigued and craving for our favorite local sweets namely -- ube and leche flan. The perfect combination of something oh-so-creamy and another with the right level of sweetness and yumminess. Luckily, our friend C was in Manila when we discovered this gem so we got his sweet sister C2 to order some cakes and the S'mores bars for us. Hooray for super supportive foodie friends! We found out that these yummy treats are created by Anghelica's Desserts , a home-based business that specializes in Ube Leche Flan Cake (Php. 500) and S'mores Bar (Php. 450/dozen) among others. They also have Dulce Quezo Mamon (Php. 400), Kasuy de Baklava and Polvoron con Queso de Bola too! I have yet to try the
This was indeed a big big surprise. It started when I was chatting with my cousin and he casually mentioned Vito's BBQ as we were talking about Chicken Rice dishes. I didn't thought much about it until I went online and saw a couple of friends from my high school posting about the same thing. "Hmm.. what is this Vito's BBQ ?", I thought to myself. Do NOT go to their page at the middle of the night or you'll surely end up hungry and craving for Chicken BBQ. Trust me, I learned this the hard, hungry way. Apparently, Vito's BBQ is named after the owners' 4 year old and he's so adorable! They started in Libis and recently, they opened their pick-up station in... *drumroll* Ronac Art Center along Ortigas Avenue and is even closer to home! Yahoooo! Anyway, we celebrated Grandparent's Day last last week and I decided that
Annyeong! It's been a while since my last blog post and boy this year is zooming by oh so fast! So, how has everyone been? As for me, I've been extra busy with work as I recently took on a new role that's equally exciting and challenging but really, I love theAsiaparent and I love my team and I am so excited to grow with everyone this year. On the domestic side, Yaya M has left us (again and for good this time) and we wish her luck in finding her one true love. Meanwhile, my twins have started pre-school this year so Paul and I have also took on our new roles as Teacher Mommy and Teacher Daddy. I'm still sad that my twins will most likely not experience nursery life such as meeting new friends, being part of school programs, gaining independence and more. Pre-school life was so much fun for me and it breaks my heart knowing that by the time the pandemic is over, they might have to enter big school already. *sigh* I'm glad that we enrolled them in Kindermusik ea
