Despite how busy my weekdays can be, I keep my weekend sacred. Take today for example, Paul and I have a busy day ahead and to make sure we have the energy, we had a hearty brunch at Seattle's Best Coffee at the Greenhills Town Center, a new commercial complex located along Gilmore street in Ortigas. Every time we visit this place, we get to see more and more restaurants popping up. My goal is to check each and every restaurant out! I've tried Sumo Sam, the Pastry Princess and Ha Yuan to name a few.
It was also upon an invitation to try the new drinks at Seattle's Best Coffee that brought us here. We started with two Breakfast plates -- Ham and Cheese Omelette (Php. 185) and the Big Breakfast Platter #2 (Php. 240). We couldn't agree whether to just get the omelette or to have pancakes and bacon as these were included in the Big Breakfast Platter. Thus, we just got both.
I was surprised at how big each meal was! Definitely breakfast perfect for champions! I tried the Big Breakfast Platter first and liked the cocktail sausages as well as the fluffy scrambled egg! Yum!
However, the Ham and Cheese Omelette was something that I would order more regularly as I love French Toast and I was really surprised at how delicious Seattle Best Coffee's French Toasts were. The omelette was packed with chopped sweet ham and melted cheese that oozes out as you slice it open. This is definitely a delicious breakfast set and I can't wait to go back to have more of this.
To go with our meal, we were able to try the two new drinks of Seattle's Best Coffee as well! Introducing the Heavenly Cheesecake and the Red Velvet! Two of my favorite desserts! :)
The Heavenly Cheesecake is a perfect blend of espresso, milk, cheesecake bits, flavored whipped cream and graham crackers. Sadly, I had to do without the whipped cream to save my delicate tummy. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this drink especially the cold version as I get to bite into the tiny cheesecake bits in every sip. The hot version made the cheesecake melt thus making the drink creamier and a bit too heavy and rich for my liking.
The Red Velvet drink will instantly give you that cozy feel perfect on a rainy day. It's a perfect cup of coffee to have as you lazily unwind in your favorite corner in the store. This drink is made of espresso coffee, Red Velvet fudge, chocolate chunks, flavored whipped cream and Red Velvet powder sprinkled on top. As I first saw this, I was immediately reminded of Christmas! The Holiday season is a few months away and I think this would also make a great Christmas drink too.
