Earlier this month, we celebrated the birthday of one of our househelps, B. My twins would point to her as "Yaya B" which makes her very happy. She's been with us even before I gave birth to my twins and in this day and age where long-lasting househelps are a rarity, she's definitely winning the loyalty award so to speak. I do value birthdays and it has been a tradition for us to celebrate the birthdays of everyone in the house thus including our loyal helpers and even Kuya M, my Mom's driver of close to a decade. Nothing grand but rather we would prepare a simple but meaningful meal for them. After all, they have made the sacrifice to be away from their own families to be able to stay and to work for us so in return, we make it a point to make them feel like they're part of the family. Yesterday was a colleague's first month at work and on our way to the WORLDBEX, I decided to treat her and another colleague out for lunch at Jollibee ! This was because I received an envelope filled with GCs! Woweee! :) It was another meatless Friday for yours truly so I chose one of the two seafood option on the menu board -- 2 pc. Bangus Fillet with Rice (Php. 109). To be honest, I still prefer the Jolly Spaghetti or the Palabok with Chicken Joy any day but this is pretty good with vinegar and ideally a cup of Garlic Rice. My colleague K got the Mango Caramel Dessert (Php. 40) as it was really warm that day. It comes with a scoop of ice cream. I Love to Eat Chicken. On several occasions, these are the three choices that I would give Paul whenever we're deciding on where to eat: KFC... Max's... Savory... Obviously, which ever he chooses, one thing's for sure. we're having Chicken! Last Saturday, Paul and I had to grab a quick lunch before the start of his photo shoot. With only thirty minutes to spare, we decided to just choose from the restaurants nearby and not wanting to just end up with a fast food lunch, we decided to go to Savory Chicken which was perfectly located in front of the event site. Paul frequents Savory Chicken more than I do and so he took care of ordering for us this time.
