Prost! : German Feast at Paulaner Brauhaus Singapore #paulanersg

Image
One thing that I'm quite amazed about Singapore is the presence of microbreweries all around the city. It's quite interesting to walk into a restaurant-bar and see huge bronze colored boilers which houses the different types of beers being brewed in-house. You can never get anything more authentic than that. Paulaner Brauhaus is one of the oldest microbreweries in Singapore as it's actually on its 18th year today. That said, I was so excited to walk into Paulaner Brauhaus ' newly renovated outlet at Millenia Walk for a nice long lunch one afternoon in the Lion City. While beer is totally a big no-no for preggy ladies, I was so happy to see that they have a very extensive food menus that I could enjoy.

The HEAT Rises, EDSA Shangri-la Hotel in Manila

Truth to be told, I'm not really much of a TV person. In fact, I can really count in my hands the number of times I've actually sat down and watched an entire TV show this year alone. Paul, on the other hand, cannot live without television. He has a list of weekly TV shows that he religiously follows and the remote is the first thing he looks for the moment he gets home from work. You can say that the secret to a happy marriage is not having to fight over the remote . Haha!  The only time I get to watch TV is during meal time. For instance, we would put Masterchef Asia on in the background while enjoying our meal. That's one of the few shows that I really enjoy as you all know, to me, chefs are like celebrity! Happy to share our first meal in Manila with our favorite food bloggers! #goodvibes So, when my favorite hotel buffet outlet, HEAT , invited Paul and I over to try their new signature dishes which were specially created by 8 chefs, we were beyond ecstatic! Mr Berlin : Authentic German Currywurst in Singapore

Image
Whenever I think of Germany , the following instantly come to mind : Oktoberfest, yummy German sausages, FIFA World Cup 2014 championship and a couple of really pretty luxury cars (hello Audi and BMW!) . Being a foodie, let us focus on those meaty, perfectly grilled German sausages, shall we?  Looking back, I remember how Mommy and I love visiting Santi's Deli and we would pick up a mix of German Sausages at least twice a month. It's interesting to note that there are more than 20 types of German sausage s, 80% of which I could hardly pronounce. :P However, my favorite is the German Bratwurst which I love having with rice.  Last Friday lunch was spent with two of my favorite local food bloggers at Mr Berlin . It's a relatively-new restaurant located along Shenton Way, within the busy CBD area of Singapore. Mr Berlin specializes in authentic German currywurst which is a very popular snack made out of chopped chicken/pork sausage and served with a rich toma...
