Beauty Stop: Pond's Flawless White and Pure White

Image
After more than a month-long of blogging hiatus, I am finally back and here I am attending my first ever blogger's event together with my fellow Lifestyle and the top Beauty bloggers in the blogosphere. It was an invitation from Pond's , the one and only facial product that I believe in and I've been using since I was still in Grade School, with that how can I say no? I love this product so much that I was pretty lucky to be rewarded with a romantic dinner for two a month before our BIG day. The event was held at the beautiful Manila Peninsula Hotel . We were led to a function room where we were given a short briefing about the two exciting new product of the brand... Presenting Pond's Flawless White Blemish Prevention UV Cream . This is one product that caught my attention as I have been forever hoping that my freckles, brought about by regular exposure to the sun during my younger days, would go away. I've also been very conscious about going under ...

Our Romantic Dinner at Restaurant 101

Image
A couple of months ago, I was lucky to be chosen to win a romantic dinner date at Restaurant 101 by Pond's . Time went by so fast that Paul and I realized that the certificate was expiring next month and so we have decided to use it right away. It was just timely that we celebrated our last monthsary before our BIG day last Saturday. Overlooking the sentence that says to call 72 hours in advance, I just took the chance and tried to book a reservation barely 6 hours before dinner time. With our fingers crossed, we waited for the confirmation from Restaurant 101 . Luck must have been by our side that I immediately got a reply saying that we may proceed with our reservation for that evening. Yay! Arriving at Restaurant 101 , I was at awe with the grand interiors and the exterior reminds me of old western architecture with huge beams and high ceilings. Entering the restaurant, we were ushered by a nice Korean girl who happens to be a student of Enderun College , the culinary sc...

Thanking my lucky stars : Pond's

I was working late at the office one Friday evening when I received a call from a cheerful-sounding lady from Pond's . As it turns out, they are currently having an electronic raffle for all SMS subscribers and she called to tell me that... I WON !!! Of course, I had to stop for a while as my parents had given me enough warning about modus operandis and fake raffle contests that might just either get valuable information from me or worst, rob me from my hard-earned money. I carefully listened to what she said and everything sounded credible. Instead of asking me to dictate my personal information, she even verified based on what I have submitted when I registered and all I have to do is to say yes or no. After our brief phone call, she sent me an sms thanking me for answering her call and to expect a letter and my gift certificate after two weeks. Well.. it has been only 10 days since then and this wonderful letter arrive via mail today. It's a congratulatory letter by the bra...

When being Stress shows

Image
July was a crazy month for me, it was time for our 2010 Strategic Planning and this entailed spending long hours brainstorming, more hours getting the plans approved and at least two entire weekends spent to prepare for the actual presentation. I didn't realized how bad my stress level was until a colleague asked me over lunch how come I look tired. I just told her that I have a lot of things on my plate right now but she continued by telling me that this was actually the first time she saw me this stressed out. Oh no...the last thing I want is to let stress overcome me. Yipes! Not good at all... I guess it's time to relax and pamper myself to a couple of hours of full body massage, a mani/pedi treatment and maybe a facial? I've been wanting to get a facial for as long as I remember. It's just that I'm really not that comfortable having my face touched my someone I don't really know that well. I shared this info with a close friend and she gave a wonderful solu...
