Bag Review: Crumpler Haven Camera Pouch

Image
People always have this misconception that girls spend more money in shopping that guys do. I definitely beg to differ. Shopping to girls is like a good diet, yes we do shop more frequently but for most women, we spend less in terms of peso/dollar value than our better half does. Just like eating, we eat more frequently but we take in smaller quantities each time. Paul and I are not major shopaholics as we only hit the malls here in Manila whenever we need  to. It's a different case in Singapore though as we spend more time at the mall to eat, do our grocery shopping and to familiarize ourselves with our new location. Going back to shopping, Paul rarely buys anything but when he does, it's something that he has thought long and hard about it. We all know that he is truly passionate and is talented in photography and that alone is a big investment already. While other guys his age would probably spend money on watches, shoes or toy cars, he has his eyes set on his camera a...

[CONTEST ALERT!!!] Crumpler : Guess what's in the Bag?

Lately, I've been feeling quite restless. Despite trying my best to relax every weekend, I feel that there's something missing... Today I woke up and realized that it has been 5 whole months since we've last traveled and that's when I got my answer. I miss traveling and that's what's missing in my life right now. Paul and I have been so busy that we haven't been out of Metro Manila since April for our Taiwan trip . For someone who used to travel at least once a month before, five months of no traveling activity is truly hazardous to my health. Well, we're taking it step by step. First, we've booked a couple of short trips scheduled in the next few months. Next, here I am again reading up on our next target destinations, soon will be working on our itineraries. Lastly, we were gifted with this amazing bag that we will surely be bringing with us on our next trip. It's a pretty Crumpler Spring Peeper with Wheels (Php. 9,850)! The perfect an...

Retail Finds: Golla Laptop Bag

Image
If there would be anything in this world that I can't live without I'd obviously say it would be my laptop . For years, I've grown dependent on my home computer where I would spend hours blogging, surfing the net, creating trip itineraries, typing compositions for school and a lot more. In fact, my work is very computer dependent too where I would have to regularly check my mail in Microsoft Outlook and since the digital age has made work more efficient and paper-less, majority of our correspondence are done via email and reports sent using the programs of Microsoft Office. At home, my nightly routine is that I would open my handy-dandy laptop the moment I get home from work to write an entry in this blog . This had, in fact, became part of my packing list on my recent trip to the US. It's what Paul and I used to chat with my family and to update ourselves with what's happening in Manila while we're away. I believe that behind an efficient laptop should be ...

Travel Essentials: Travel safe with Pacsafe

Image
It's no secret that Paul and I love to travel. At the same time, we have been blessed with wonderful opportunities that have enabled us to travel at least once per quarter since we got married. It all began with our two weeks trip to Singapore and Malaysia for our honeymoon followed by a quick visit to the happiest place in Asia a.k.a. Hong Kong Disneyland and just recently, we went out of Asia and explored the west as we traveled to California, USA . As we travel, we make sure that safety is always on our side . We pray, we plan and we pack well in order to ensure that we keep our valuables close and away from the wandering eyes of snatchers. Nothing can destroy a trip more than losing your passport, money and clothes. Not only will it waste you time but it will surely take the fun away from what was supposed to be a memorable traveling experience. As we were preparing for our recent 2-week long vacation, we made sure that we were equipped with the right bags and luggage t...

When I first opened my 2nd Anniversary raffle promo , I thought to myself... I'd be really happy if I'd be able to get at least 30 respondents. I also thought that most of the responses that I'd get would be from my fellow bloggers and friends. My dear readers, You just made me feel so special and loved as at the end of exactly 10 days from the start of the promo, I was surprise to have a total of 125 respondents and majority of which are from readers whom I've never met and I hope I'd be able to meet something. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on how I can improve and the things that has made you come back regularly to my blog. I am truly overjoyed hearing from all of you and thank you also to the first-timers whom I hope to see more often here :) There are times when I would just browse through your suggestions and comments and i can't help but smile while reading all your kind messages and words of encouragement to keep on blogging. All I can say is... TH...

Frannywanny turns TWO!!!

Image
To my dear readers and friends, I can't believe it has been exactly a year ago when I blew out my first candle ! I celebrated it simply by presenting to you my very own domain . It was like acquiring my very own home here in cyberspace. I felt the big leap towards independence. Later on, I gave this home a new look thanks to Paperbank Designs. Since then, my life as a blogger continues to soar higher and higher... I met new friends, became a Nuffnang featured blogger for the month of August, participated and won in a couple of online contests and discovered a lot of interesting finds both here and abroad. Best of all, I felt all the love that you, my readers, have been sending my way. In line with my 2nd anniversary, I wish to improve even further. I would like to hear your thoughts on the things that you would like to see and read here in my blog. I would like to know you better and hopefully, 2010 will even be a more exciting year for frannywanny.com . Please share your thoughts...
