Burgers and Brewskies. By just hearing the name, thoughts of fun bonding sessions with friends come to my mind. It was just perfect that my first visit at Burgers & Brewskies a.k.a. B&B would be with my fellow food bloggers. Paul and I were so excited to go as it will surely be a crazy and happy lunch with these funny, food-loving bunch! B&B is a newly opened restaurant in Burgos Circle and as mentioned in its name, it specializes in burgers, beer and one more B -- buffalo wings! As we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by the familiar happy chatter of our friends coming from the second floor. The restaurant is quite small so I'm pretty sure it can be crowded on a busy day. It has a very laid back feel reminding me of one of my favorite burger places here in Singapore. If there's one mantra that my parents live by, it would be this: "The family that eats together, stays together." Given our busy schedules, we all make it a point to at least have dinner together. I love Japanese food! It's my ultimate comfort cuisine and luckily, there seems to be a surge of Japanese restaurants opening here and there . A week ago, The Food Club was invited to try Yakitori Kitchen , owned and managed by the same group as Ramen Bar . Upon receiving the invite, Paul and I immediately sent our confirmation. We were so excited that we were actually the first to arrive that evening. While waiting for the group to be complete, we were served with a bowl of Chicken Broth Soup which I find very refreshing. It actually reminds me of the yummy Emperor's Soup of Sugi. I loved it so much that I had two bowls of this for dinner that evening. I was able to meet the man behind Yakitori Kitchen and he explained that Yaki means Grill/Grilling while Tori means Chicken in Japanese. My friend T has been raving about this delectable Salted Caramel Macaron that was so good it has made her cheat on her diet as she couldn't resist a piece...or two...or maybe three. T has really good taste in food so I figured that those macarons must really be THAT GOOD. So one Sunday, my in-laws decided to have lunch at Burgos Circle and right after, I convinced Paul to cross the street and visit Bar Dolci , a dessert place where my friend T got her favorite macarons from. Actually, I just remembered that I wanted to try Bar Dolci and totally forgot about the macarons at first. As we entered the busy store, I was immediately drawn towards the gelato freezer matched with the glass panels filled with names of Bar Dolci 's gelato fans. Bordeaux is the wine capital of France. As mentioned here (insert link), expect to raise your glass many times when visiting the laid back city of Bordeaux. This can also be said about Bordeaux – Premium French Wine Bar at the Burgos Circle in Bonifacio Global City. Upon entering the restaurant, we were ushered towards our table at the ground floor. Our server, Jericho, began placing two wine glasses on our table while at the same time handing us the menu. We told him that we wanted to try their set for the Manila’s Signature Dishes to which he quickly acknowledge. Paul and I are such big fans of anything Japanese..culinary-wise, we can never turn down an offer to feast on sushi, teriyaki chicken, ebi tempura and my personal favorite -- katsudon. Such is the case when we received an invite from fellow blogger Alvin to try out a new restaurant called Jozu Kin at the Fort Bonifacio area not so long ago. Entering the restaurant, it somehow gave me an upper New York feel where big groups of friends would dine and drink until the wee hours of the morning.
