Airport Lounge : SATS Premier Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 2

Image
I'm back! Missed me? :P  I know I haven't been blogging as regularly as I used to before but that doesn't mean I haven't been eating as much anymore. Haha! Rest assured, I'm still eating my way around town and I promise to share all my stories with all of you soon. Meanwhile, I recently flew to Manila to spend a fun and relaxing weekend with family. One of the things that I love about traveling is being able to check out the airport lounges while waiting to board. I tell you, having the access to airport lounges is something I'm extremely thankful about as I just hate waiting and this is the perfect remedy for impatient travelers like me. For this trip, I chanced upon SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 of Changi Airport. I had to do some last minute work so I made sure that I chose a lounge with a nice workstation where I can be productive for an hour and a half before I fly home. I'm also quite paranoid about being left behind by the plane so I narr...

Airport Lounge : Sky View in Ninoy Aquino International Airport 3

Fly in, fly out.  This has been the story of our lives since 2013. As much as flying home never fails to bring so much joy to our hearts (and tummies), the whole process of going through the whole airport routine  can sometimes wear us down. Thankfully, Changi Airport is just one of the best in the world with so many food options and a couple of recreational facilities on hand while NAIA 3 is starting to shape up making the wait and transfer more bearable each time. Plus both airports got free Wi-Fi connection so no complains there! Recently, I discovered that my Citibank Premiere Miles card can give me access to one of the airport lounges in NAIA 3. That really got me so excited! For someone who loves to arrive at the airport close to the 45 minute limit of the check-in counter, I made sure that I got arrive 2 hours prior to my flight to check the lounge out. After passing through immigration and the final security check, I headed up to the 3rd floor where all the lo...

Stopover : Tatsu at the Narita Airport, Japan

Image
I was just in Japan for four hours for a brief stopover and I've immediately fell in love with the orderliness of their airport system and how delicious their airport food was. Thus, my heart goes out to the thousands of families who lost their homes, loved ones and basically all of their belongings due to the recent earthquake and tsunami last March 11 that destroyed the island particularly in northern Japan -- Sendai . As I was getting tips from one of my cousins before flying off to the US, one thing that he told me was to try the ramen at the Narita Airport which was located right at the waiting terminal of Delta Airlines . It's fun to know that being a food lover runs in the family and I can totally count on my relatives to give me great tips on what's delicious here and abroad. Paul and I took my cousin's advice to heart and we immediately spotted Tatsu which was indeed located where my cousin told us it would be. We fell in line and got a bowl of Tempura ...

Merry merry Marrybrown

Image
I first saw Marrybrown at the exit of the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) of the Kuala Lumpur Airport. Initially, we expected it to be a local fast food offering Malaysian dishes. What we didn't know was Marrybrown could actually rival Col. Sanders's crispy delicious fried chicken. Yep! Marrybrown is a Malaysian fast food specializing in fried chicken and a lot more. Of course, we were in Malaysia and so we had to try something different. I was so hooked to Nasi Lemak the entire time that I was in Singapore. Oh how I love the taste of rice cooked in rich coconut milk. It has been my morning guilty indulgence. No matter how much I've tried, I couldn't seem to stop. Mix this with salty anchovies and peanuts, I was in food heaven. :) Scanning the board of Marrybrown, I noticed that they have Nasi Lemak (RM 8.90) as part of their line-up. Of course, they use fried chicken this time. I didn't mind and got this with additional chicken (RM 6.05) to share with Pau...
