It's time to Rejuicenate!

Being a foodie is a tough job. With the wide-variety of food available and the opportunity to eat to our heart's content, I'd say, we're lucky to live in a world where achieving gastronomic satisfaction is indeed possible and for some, it happens quite often too. I'd say though that as one bids goodbye to his/her wonderful twenties and slowly enters his/her 30s, 40s and even 50s, there's that great need to be more mature and responsible about the things we put in our mouth. Beyond being fit and good-looking, there's also our blood chemistry, the rise and fall of one's cholesterol and sugar levels and a lot more. I'll be honest, two years back I was at my heaviest and definitely not at my healthiest. It was hard to say no to all the food tastings coming my way. A lot of them really made me swoon and jump with glee as they were just so delicious. All day and night, I think of food . Then, I woke up and realized, it was time to push that RESET button....

Grocery Pick : Tipco Fruit Juice (and a chance to fly to Bangkok for FREE!)

I'll let you in on my mom's secret. :) When my sister and I were still babies, she would make fresh Tomato juice for us to drink. We all know that Tomato has lycopene and it has a very strong anti-oxidant and anti-cancer power. Aside from this, Mommy believes that tomato juice is also very good for the skin. Of course, she wants that for her two daughters and I must say that her daily practice of feeding us with tomato juice has proven its benefits for the two of us. My sister and I have never had a facial treatment done and our only daily beauty routine includes washing our faces at least two times a day and to moisturize, moisturize and to moisturize. Luckily, we were also spared by the terrible facial acne problems that a lot of our peers got during our teenage years. Someday, I wish to do the same for my kids. However, I can hardly imagine myself having the luxury of time to create these fresh juices for them. In fact, I hardly have time to make a glass of juice for mys...

Jamba Juice now opens in the Philippines!!!

Today is a special day, it's November 11, 2011 and when written in numbers it's 11.11.11 . This is also the day when California brand Jamba Juice will finally open its doors to the public. Admittedly, we're all crazy about double/triple numbers. In fact, for a time, Paul and I even considered getting married on the 10th of October, 2010 (10.10.10). It was only when we realized that all of our choice suppliers were booked already despite preparing more than a year in advance. Thus, we then decided to go with our second choice, the 11th of July otherwise known as 7-11. ;) I feel privileged to be invited to the special VIP party held at the newly constructed Bonifacio High Street Central which is an extension of the current Bonifacio High Street where Aldo, Tempur, Brother's Burger, Nike, ROX and a lot more are located. I arrived with fellow blogger Richard and we were surprised to see a really big crowd quite uncommon in most of the blogger events that we've b...

Let the Ultimate Taste Test begin! (Frannywanny's Holiday Gift Idea)

Sunday is usually the day when Paul and I would laze around the house and would only go out to hear mass or to make a quick run to the bank. Needless to say, we look forward to Lazy Sundays where we try to recharge and prepare our body and mind for another crazy week back at the office. However, after receiving an invite from fellow blogger and Cabalen (for Paul), Spanky Enriquez , to try more than 30 up and coming food suppliers from lechon to fruit juices to the heart-stopping chocolate bacon and more, we didn't hesitate and later found ourselves at Fort Bonifacio on a warm Sunday morning together with more than a hundred food lovers for the Ultimate Taste Test !!! This event is the brainchild of one of my favorite couples, Anton and Rache Diaz who made this a fund-raising event wherein the P150 entrance goes to supporting the causes of St. Michael Church in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. Not bad huh? You get to make both your tummy and heart happy by trying out the great tasting fo...
