Doi Chaang Coffee Singapore in Clementi 321

Image
I love going to coffee shops and cafes! The strong aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the buttery sweet scent of pancakes and just that over-all laid back feel. What makes it even more fun is when you walk into a coffee shop that screams "take a photo of me" in every nook and cranny! In today's social media speak, I'd say... it's totally Instagram-worthy ! Recently, I've been going crazy over this new foodie app that allows me to buy credits and to bid for a certain dish for as low as $1! I've been so hooked with it for days that one of the things that I bought was a $2.60 voucher for a glass of Iced Coffee from  Doi Chaang Coffee  in Clementi. I'll tell you more about this app in my succeeding entries but for now let's focus on the coffee shop, shall we?

Wimi Ice Cream : Thai Coconut Ice Cream in Singapore

Image
I'm sensing a  new food trend coming to Singapore. Actually, maybe it has already arrived and it's happening right this very moment. Being a tropical country, cooling down with a cup of (you name it) gelato, yogurt or ice cream just makes perfect sense. It's the kind of food item that you can have anytime of the day. In fact, I wouldn't just classify it as a dessert as you can have your cold treat as an afternoon snack or as a nice evening night cap before heading to bed. Last Friday, Paul and I met up for a nice impromptu dinner date as we've been so busy with work these past few weeks so instead of normally heading home, cooking dinner and doing our chores, we decided to just eat out and relax. After our meal in Clementi, we walked towards the newly opened 321 Clementi Mall which, I promise you, is hard to miss. It's a tall building and you can easily spot it especially when you're taking the MRT coming from the east.

Go West : The Tiny Roaster in Singapore

Image
Paul normally has Saturday work which means, I'm pretty much left on my own to laze around the house or to do some serious running/climbing/kicking/stretching/(fill in with crazy, adrenaline-high action here) at the gym. Not wanting to sound cheezy but I do miss him so much throughout the day. Weekends, after all, are never fun when you're alone right? Once in a while though, I'd go and visit him at work! Not in a creepy, clingy way, of course, but I'd time it when his work is about to end or it's near his lunch break. I'm thankful for the mall that's within walking distance from his clinic and most especially the little foodie spots that I'd discover in the most unexpected places.  Take The Tiny Roasters , for instance. I chanced upon this one morning and was immediately drawn towards this small, cozy-looking coffee shop. Stepping inside, you'd be greeted by the warm delicious scent of coffee. They mean serious coffee business here as the ...

Weekend Discovery : Prata Planet in Clementi

Image
Once again, Paul and I visited the west side of Singapore one weekend. Back at Clementi where we planned to do our weekly grocery shopping and hopefully to grab some Baskin Robbins ice cream on our way home. We were hoping to meet up with our friends N and T but sadly they had other plans. Of course, they're such sweet friends that they still sent us a couple of restaurant recommendations for us to try. One of those is Prata Planet . How funny that ever since we moved to the Lion City, Paul and I do enjoy the local Indian fare most especially the 3 Ps : paneer, papadum and prata. O also joined us that day and with the address on one hand and our Singapore Map app on the other, we went out to search for the restaurant. Prata Planet is located a block away from the Clementi MRT station. It's actually at the ground floor of one of the housing estates in the area. It was quite easy spotting the restaurant as it's facing the street. As soon as we settled into our tabl...
