Let's take a quick trip down memory lane. Well okay, it wasn't that long ago but it sure feels like it. After 4 fun years in the Lion City with countless flights between Singapore and Manila, I can't believe that this routine of ours has came to an end. For the last time, Paul and I headed to Changi Airport on the morning of the 31st of May as we bid a temporary goodbye to our 2nd home, which I fondly call, the Lion City. We'll definitely be back for sure but this time as tourists and perhaps with two little ones in tow but for the time being, it was time to head back HOME. A few years back, Paul and I agreed that when the time comes for us to bid Singapura goodbye, we just have to do it in style . By that, we meant flying Business Class onboard Singapore Airlines . It has been a very happening and truly exciting two months for both Paul and I. Starting with our trip back to Manila to celebrate the holidays with our families then flying back to Singapore 11 days after to go back to work and once again, back to Manila to witness the beautiful wedding of my Achi Marie. Paul and I knew that all these back and forths will take a toll on our body so we made sure to make our flights home as stress-free as possible. I believe that the airline plays a HUGE role on your over-all well-being when travelling. Don't get me wrong, I still fly budget especially for short trips home but I got to admit that I get really excited every single time I fly via Singapore Airlines . Apart from having more luggage allowance, a hot and delicious meal on board, I look forward to the wide entertainment library consisting of the latest movies, TV shows, music and even several radio channels. I'm backkkkk!!! I've been very delinquent in blogging lately but I have a good reason why. It's because Paul and I went on a much-awaited trip to Tokyo, Japan with a brief stopover in Manila . We've been planning this trip since last year and despite that, I still had to cram our itinerary a week before we flew off since I had to deal with moving flats sometime in between! Oh dear life.  Anyway, all's good and I'm so happy we made the most of our first-ever visit to Tokyo and believe me, this is definitely the first of many returns! We took the red-eye flight to Tokyo via Singapore Airlines  because Paul has work on Saturdays. Since we're flying out Singapore at 11:55PM, this gave us ample of time to do all our household chores, run last minute errands, do last minute packing, shower and slowly made our way to Changi Airport . Thanks to Singapore Airlines ' big drop in fares, Paul and I were able to snap up a couple of flights this year at such amazing rates. That said, we're levelling up on our travels this 2016 as it's about time to fly in both comfort and style. Alright! Every time I fly via Singapore Airlines to Manila (or anywhere else in the world), I can't help but get so excited! I really look forward to the in-flight entertainment and most of all, the food! As you can see in my past flights, I have always been so happy with the meal be it from the regular selections or the seafood meal that I would sometimes pre-order. I always believe that your vacation should start from the moment you step into the plane where you immediately get the sense of relaxation and comfort. Sadly, that's quite hard to achieve in budget airlines.  As for Singapore Airlines , you get to enjoy the comfort from the moment you check-in at the airport. Booking a flight home for the holidays is not as easy as it normally is given any ordinary day. For one thing, a clear strategy has to be in place in order to: a) get the cheapest rates b) fly home and back on our desired date and time c) seriously, get the cheapest rates  During our first year here in Singapore, Paul and I wasn't that knowledgeable yet and we sadly forked out a huge amount of money for a plane ticket on a budget airline. I tell you, the stress of having to fight for the smallest overhead cabin and later having the flight attendant beg you to just have your hand-carry luggage on your lap for 3+ hours was terrifying to say the least. Needless to say, we vowed never  to fly budget during the Christmas season ever again. So, on our 2nd year, we planned early and luckily were able to score great tickets via Singapore Airlines . I'm finally back! After recovering from such a tiring travel for a day, here I am back at the daily grind yet totally excited for the upcoming weekend. My trip to Beijing was short but nonetheless very interesting and inspiring. It was for work and what I love about being able to join work-related functions wherein I get to meet our fellow counterparts is the fact that I get to learn a lot from them. It always gives me that drive to do more for my brands..it keeps me inspired and motivated. That's always a good thing, right? Well, as mentioned in my earlier post, this was the first time that I traveled on my own. I'm happy to report that I came back in one piece. Though, I sadly caught a bad case of cough and colds from the change in temperature and probably from those white cotton-like particles that were flying around Beijing all four days but I'll be okay hopefully in a few more days. Greetings from cold and sunny California! After 16 long hours of trying to keep still and stay as comfortable as we can in the plane, Paul, Leah and I finally made it to the U.S.A.!!! While I'm trying to decide whether to catch some sleep as it's already 3 in the afternoon here and run the risk of staying up the entire evening later or to just withstand the urge to shut my heavy eyelids to be able to enjoy a deep slumber later, I think I'll just share with you how our transit was via Delta Airlines . The Good Things First and foremost, I love the service. We were well taken cared of by the flight attendants at any given point of the flight. I particularly liked one Chinese flight attendant who was very attentive to our needs. Upon knowing that Paul and I are Chinese too, she began speaking to us in Mandarin which I struggled to respond in small broken phrases and relied on my husband to supply the missing words.
