All Aboard! : Genki Sushi in Bugis+

Image
Mommy and Pan came to visit me and Paul a month ago and I tell you, those were the best and most fun days that I've had here in the Lion City. I really love it when family comes to visit. As much as I also love being back home in Manila, it's nice to be able to share bits and pieces of my life here with the people I love the most. Of course, that includes taking them to some of my favorite restaurants, my favorite shopping malls and more. So, first on the agenda was to take them bargain shopping at Bugis . As we were shopping at Bugis+, we chanced upon Genki Sushi . This is a casual sushi restaurant with a really cute concept. We've known sushi restaurants to have the traditional conveyor belt where you can just pull out plates after plates of sushi. What makes Genki Sushi unique is that each other is prepared minutes after you place the order. Given that, you're assured of having fresh sushi all the time.

[CONTEST ALERT!] Chubby Chicken in Katipunan Avenue

Remember the first ever blog post that my sister Pan wrote here at Frannywanny.com? It was about her Top 10 Tokyo Sights which you can read about here and here . Well, looks like someone had loads of fun sharing her travel adventures with you all that she decided to write more! Today, the one and only Blue Eagle in the family would like to share with you her first ever restaurant review on Chubby Chicken -- a casual university food stop located right across her alma mater in Katipunan Avenue. To make things more exciting, we're also treating one lucky ready to an all-out Chubby Chicken meal worth Php 500!!!  Now, that's my cue to stop writing and to give the virtual stage to my sister Pannywanny. :) It has been a few years back where Katipunan has been my second home, studying at Starbucks, buying last minute items at National Bookstore and having breakfast, lunch and dinners in the different food establishments available. It is, after all, just a foot bridge or a trike ...

Bonjour! It's the start of the week and soon we'll be bidding April goodbye and will be say hello to May! 2013 is flying by sooooooo fast! :o Anyway, let me tell you about our delicious French dinner last night. Normally, it takes me days weeks ..okay fine, even months to blog about a restaurant (apologies for that..backlog is Terrible and that's with a capital T) , but this one was just too yummy for me to prolong the wait. Dinner was at Poulet , a casual French restaurant with a couple of branches here in Singapore. I've been hearing about this restaurant and their delicious roast chicken from my equally food-loving flatmates and friends. So there was that excitement and anticipation as we were asked to wait for about 15 minutes for our table to be ready. Paul and I decided to choose two main dishes to share. Poulet (poo-lay) means chicken in French thus it makes perfect sense to go for the Poulet Roti (Half: S$15.80 / Whole: S$28.80) which is their hou...
