Another year, another chapter. Yesterday, I celebrated my 33rd birthday. Gosh, I can't believe I'm this old! For a moment there, I had a quick flashback of that one time my 7-year-old self was telling Mommy that I wanted to grow up faster. Oh why did I ever said that?! *sigh* Well, my birthday was simpler this year. A bit more quiet than usual but still one for the books. It began with our traditional birthday salubong with the NKids. They play an important role in my life now and I purposely flew back to Singapore to celebrate my birthday with them. I'm so touched that Paul took charge of buying the cake and of course, he made sure it was yummy one! We're missing I  who's out of the country for work right now but my birthday celebration shall continue once she's back! Of course, we're family and no one gets left behind (or forgotten). Ohana ♥

Last weekend, Paul and I did another ninja-like visit to Manila which lasted for only 4 days. The main objective was to spend as much time possible with family. I'd say, we were pretty successful as most of the meals were really dedicated to eating out with both my side and his. In addition to that, we went home to celebrate the birthday of one very important man in our lives -- my Papa . Despite how infrequent we get to fly home, we make it a point not to miss the birthdays of our parents. We sadly missed my FIL's birthday this year so we have to do better starting next year onwards. Anyway, to celebrate Papa's birthday, K of Sweet Grace Cakes & Pastries was so sweet to send over a box of her famous Pistachio Cake with Strawberries and Cream (Php. 800 / 6 inch and Php. 1500 / 8 inch) .  The cake arrived a day before his birthday so we had an early cake-cutting ceremony as we couldn't wait to try it.
