Dragonfly Desserts : Red Velvet Cupcakes

Growing up, my parents thought me the two magic words -- Please and Thank You. Among the two, I think I have been over-using the phrase Thank You a little bit more than usual lately. Take tonight for example, I came home from the office to see that my dear husband Paul has prepared a yummy and very healthy salad dinner for the two of us. He prepared and cooked everything! I was beyond impressed and thankful to have such a sweet and talented husband who spoils me crazy.

A week ago, my friend Che of Dragonfly Desserts, delivered a box of her latest creations right before she flew out of the country for her vacation. No special occassions, no big reasons but my loving friend just wanted me to try her new masterpiece. Once again, I thank my lucky stars to be blessed with good and more importantly, true friends like her.

I was so excited to see this box sitting on top of our dining table that morning. It looked so mouthwatering that I couldn't resist but grabbed a piece despite knowing that we're heading out for our family lunch in a few minutes. I also shared these Red Velvet Cupcakes (Php. 55/pc) to my amah (grandma), kongkong (grandpa) and a-i (auntie) too. Who would have thought that these babies would turn out to be our lifesaver as our lunch at Villa Cafe was quite disastrous.

You all know that I'm not a big fan of cupcakes simply because I do not like and can't take any icing. The only exception to the rule is cream cheese frosting. I'm not really sure why but my tummy can't digest any other icings or cream except for this. There's my picky tummy for you!

As I sinked my teeth into Che's Red Velvet Cupcakes, I knew right away that this was a winner. It was very fluffy and moist. Not crumbly or dry at all. I love that the sweetness level was just right complementing the cream cheese frosting on top.It may look simple but the taste was amazing! I can't wait to go back home to have another box of these Red Velvet Cupcakes

Well, for those in Manila, you are extra lucky because you can immediately try these yummy Red Velvet Cupcakes from Dragonfly Desserts! Che is selling it at Php. 55/piece and a box could fit a minimum of 6! This makes a great gift to your loved ones, friends or to yourself!
