Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa celebrated World Burger Month this June 2016!

For us, millenials (yes, kids, I am one of you bwahahah). We were born in a world where burgers and pizza rule the gastronomic scene for at least the first 15 years of our lives. Growing up, our tastes have changed and became a bit more discriminating..more sophisticated..more choosy. However, let's face it. When it comes to comfort food, these two things will surely top the list. Don't you agree?

So, when I received an invite to sample 4 of Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa's legendary burgers which will be available all throughout June, my mind immediately screamed "hell yeah!" I was definitely so excited to give them a try. I have to admit that it has been years since I've dined at Hard Rock Cafe. I remember when it first opened in Manila sometime in the 90's and we would go there for dinner. It's amazing to see that the brand has expanded to 68 countries with a few more opening soon (get ready Reykjavik in Iceland!) and this includes cafes, hotels and casinos.

Anyway, let me focus on the burgers. For just a limited-time only, Hard Rock Cafe will be featuring four of these burgers for diners to enjoy. Let me share them with you:

Let start off with my personal favorite. The Giardiniera Deli Burger (S$30) is a big juicy piece of Angus Beef burger patty topped with a thin slice of tender, melt-in-your-mouth roast beef, melted provolone cheese and giardiniera peppers. I loved it! It's the best beef on beef combination and both the burger patty and the roast beef were really amazing. I initially thought the peppers were just your ordinary peppers but it was until I bit into my slice of burger that I realized that it's made to be somewhat like an achar (atchara) which is one of my favorite meat accompaniments! This is really the bomb!

Next was Singapore's very own Satay Burger (S$25) which I have to say was pretty legit. Thick burger patty covered with a nice generous layer of peanut sauce and served with cucumber, onions and chopped peanuts. To add a little heat to every bite, there's the Sriracha mayonnaise doing an amazing job. This was really a good burger creation and it definitely represents Singapore very well.

The next burger somehow reminded me of my good friend D. She loves pizza very much and she adores burgers too. For people who's just like her, the Big Little Italy Burger (S$27) might just do the trick. Inside is filled with burger patty, fried mozzarella cheese sticks, pepperoni slices, sauteed mushrooms and pizza sauce. It was good but I think we left the burger a bit out too long that the mozzarella sticks became too cold and a bit too hard. So take my advice, enjoy this while it's hot to get the extra gooey texture of the cheese in every bite.

Lastly, there's the Golden Gate Burger (S$27) wherein the chef swapped out the regular burger bun with toasted sourdough bread. It's filled with salami, grilled onions, swiss cheese, pickles, thick burger patty and thousand island dressing. Admittedly, I wasn't too crazy about this as I found the bread a bit too hard to bite into and I'm not a fan of salami to begin with. It's worth a try though if you want something different for a change.

Two days to go before June rolls in and I'm really excited about this! I can't wait to go back to Hard Rock Cafe with Paul this time and have more of the Satay Burger and my favorite, the Giardiniera Deli Burger! Yummmmm ♥ ♥ ♥
